Join us for the launch of 'Passing Time', a photography book that will showcase some 80 images by 81-year old self-taught photographer Lui Hock Seng. These black and white photographs from the 1960s to 1970s present a slice of Singapore’s pictorial history.
The book includes an introduction by Objectifs curator Ryan Chua, an essay on the history of pictorial photography in Singapore by curator Charmaine Toh, and an essay about the historical and cultural significance of Mr Lui’s images by Yu-Mei Balasingamchow.
The event will feature a book signing session and meet-and-greet with Mr Lui. Admission is free - please RSVP at http://
The book is now available for pre-order at the Objectifs webstore at a special price of $45. Shipping is not available, and books MUST be collected from Objectifs. Overseas customers can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a custom shipping quote. Pre-order the book now at: https://
